Social Studies Final Friday 6/8/18
See your study sheet

The Native American homes are spectacular!  They looked awesome on Friday night at the Festival of the Arts.!

We are currently studying Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty, and immigration.  This week we will learn more about immigration and the different types of communities. Urban, Rural, and Suburban.
We will continue to work on the Maps Globes and Graphs workbook as well.  We have begun to talk about the seven continents and we are learning that we live on the continent of North America and the countries that are part of North America.  We are learning that we live in the United States of America and the state we live in is New York and that Long Island is part of NYS..   We are learning we live on the east coast of the USA and that the Atlantic Ocean is along the east coast of the USA.

Homework assignments will be given periodically. Assessments will be given with enough time to study.  I will send home a study sheet for you to review with your child.

I am looking forward to an exciting and fun year with your child as we study and explore the curriculum in Social Studies.
