Spelling words should be written in script for homework as well as in class.
The Second Grade will continue to review Unit 3 Week 1. The genre is non-fiction expository text. We will read about gravity and magnets. We will review the author's purpose for each story this week.
We started to review verbs. We are learning the difference between a noun and a verb. We also learned about similes and will continue to review them this week.
All the homework will be posted online in the Second Grade Homeroom calendar. I believe this will work more efficiently instead of posting assignments on three different calendars for assignments.
I will, however, post projects and special assignments on that subject's calendar as well as the Second Grade Homeroom Calendar.
Since ASR is moving towards going "green". I will no longer send home a copy of the homework assignment sheet. Your child now has an agenda book to write their assignments in. I will spot check them. However, please check the Second Grade Homeroom calendar online for any questions or email me. I will reply as soon as I can.

The homework assignments will be posted on the Homeroom Calendar for Second Grade. I will also continue to post the reading assignments and activities in the "To Do" file of the Wonders website. I strongly recommend that your child utilize the online activities since they reinforce and review the concepts we are working on in class.
If you do not have a computer and would prefer to have your child take the textbook home please let me know as soon as possible.
